My life.

I don’t think I have ever seen a quote so accurate. :’)

I wish my book collection was that impressive. There are some amazing books in there.

When people say they hate reading, I have come to realize it’s because they’ve never let the world disappear while they were reading a book. I pity them. Books really were there for me when no one else was. Without the stories those books told, the worlds those books teleported me to, the characters those books let me meet, or the unfolding events those books allowed me to witness, I would not be where I am today, and I definitely would not be the same person that I am today. Reading is part of the greatness of humanity. The ability of our brains to turn squiggles on a bound stack of dried wood-pulp sheets into—ah, into stories, and societies and people and ideas and wonderful, wonderful things, as well as terrible, heart-breaking, nevertheless-wonderful things, is beyond incredible. It’s… well, it’s magic. Books are magic.
